Lean in Women, Work, and the Will to Lead is a must read for anyone interested in leadership. Sandberg calls it her feminist manifesto, but I think the strength of this book lies in it accessibility to women and men alike. Sandberg’s message is one that we can all relate to one way or another. Two of my favorite quotes from the book are
Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence” (Nitin Nohrin, HBS, p. 157)
Shared experience forms the basis of empathy and, in turn, can spark the institutional changes we need. (p. 171)
